How it works
Traditionally, custom software for the BlackBerry® is developed in J2ME, which offers many features and allows for high levels of customization. However, it’s expensive. To allow for rapid application development on the platform, Research In Motion® (RIM®), developed the Mobile Development System® (MDS®). While more cost-effective than J2ME, it is still represents an expense that many companies cannot afford. Rapid-Ask by STS™ offers the functionality of a custom solution without the cost of a custom engagement. The following graphic illustrates how Rapid-Ask by STS™ works:
